Everyone knows what website traffic is, yet so many people have trouble getting any, maybe you are one of these people, if you are, I can help you :).
There are many methods to generating traffic so that you can either get a lot of people to a website or so that you can make sales.
No Traffic = No Sales
Consistent Traffic = Sales Overload

Article Marketing is when you submit an article to an article directory or directories (spin offs of article).
Then INSIDE the resource box the author links back to his or her website so that the reader can learn more about that information.
Article marketing can cause thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people to visit your site :).

PPC Marketing:
Pay Per Click Marketing is where you pay a certain company to advertise on their site targeting certain keywords.
Companies like:
They all provide PPC. However it is called Pay Per Click for a reason, you have to pay for every person that clicks on your add. You can bid a higher price for more views.
Do not try PPC marketing unless you have delved deep into the topic and know enough not to waste money (like knowing that you have to TEST before you can start making money.
SEO Marketing:
Is where you use the mighty power of FREE solutions to get yourself some nice organic Traffic.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, that means that you get traffic through searches that people input in Google, Yahoo Search and Bing.
Getting SEO traffic is nice because it's free, however it is not necessarily the easiest to do, and to get great SEO traffic you need to be ranking high on the Google pages, this is much easier with a website.
What gets you up there ranking high? Well great VALUABLE content and lots of back-links.
Back-Links:
Links that you place on the internet that lead back to a certain website.
The more back links to a certain website the more PR it gets (Page Rank)
Building back links isn't hard if you know how. Through Article Marketing, and PPC marketing you get backlinks, through links in your Signature on Forums and Blogs.
Through bookmarking sites like Stumble and Reddit among many others.
This is all tedious work and can be very hard however the rewards are very rewarding.
If the backlink comes from a higher authority website then your site gets more Rank status. Meaning if you get a backlink (a link to your site) from Google it would be 10 times better then getting one from some random 2 week year old site.
